GMSHRM welcomes Debbie Winkles, SPHR – SVP, Director of HR for Great Florida Bank and Board Member for the Miami-Dade EmployAbility Network
Ms. Debbie Winkles is currently Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources for Great Florida Bank overseeing all of the human resource functions of the Bank. She works closely with executive management on leadership training and strategic planning for the organization. In addition to her years of banking and HR experience, Ms. Winkles is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Barry University with an emphasis on Human Resource Management.
From 2008 to the present, Ms. Winkles serves as District Director for HR Florida, a state council of SHRM. She is the recipient of the District Director of the Year Award in 2010 and is past-president of the Greater Miami chapter of SHRM in 2007. As District Director she is the liaison between SHRM and the chapters located in the Florida Keys as well as Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Ms. Winkles also volunteers on the Board of the Miami-Dade EmployAbility Network serving as Treasurer. Their mission is to educate and encourage employers to recruit, hire, train and retain employees with disabilities as part of promoting good business practices.
