Jose Tomas, SPHR, is the Burger King Corp. Chief People Officer and President, Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Tomas also serves as a director on the 2012 Board of SHRM and will discuss how HR professionals are their own worst enemy.
HR professionals around the world are faced with similar work challenges, but none greater than being seen as valued contributors to their organizations’ strategies and critical decisions. Mr. Tomas will address how while there is no “one size fits all” approach to becoming a strategic business partner, recognizing that HR professionals may be part of the problem is the first step towards impacting perceptions.
