About our Speaker
Manny S Fernandez is the Vice President of Commercial Accounts for BenTrust Financial in Miami, Florida. BenTrust Financial is a privately owned full service financial counseling firm specializing in Risk Management. Within the firm Manny specializes in the Employee Benefits area which includes Group Health, Dental, Life, Disability and Retirement plans.
Prior to joining BenTrust Financial, Manny spent eleven years with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida in various marketing positions from small group sales to sales and management of large and municipal groups. Blue Cross also has a subsidiary, Florida Combined Life, where Manny was the Regional Director covering half the State of Florida. These positions trained him in the various levels of insurance from marketing to small and large groups to also the underwriting of various insurance products. When Florida Combined Life was developing their new Dental plans, Manny was part of the team that developed the plans and presented them to the State of Florida for acceptance.
He is an active board member of the Baptist Hospital Foundation, Guides for Kids Program, the Ambassadors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and is a past Co-Chair for the HR Small Business committees and HR Insights annual event, The Greater Miami Society of Human Resource Managers, South Florida Compensation & Benefits Association, The Ft Lauderdale Billfish Tournament along with many other charitable, civic and professional organizations in the South Florida area.
Manny graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
