Meet Dr. Castater, Finance & Accounting Workshop Instructor

Nichole Castater, Ph.D. Barry University, will help you become a stronger human resources professional with GMSHRM workshops in Accounting and Finance.

Nichole Castater, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Finance, for Barry University's Andreas School of Business.  Dr. Castater holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina.  Previously, she was on faculty at Clark Atlanta University as Assistant Professor of Finance and International Business.  She has also taught at the University of Florida and the University of South Carolina.  Her teaching experience includes courses in capital markets, financial analysis, international finance and corporate finance.  She includes public / private partnerships, financial institution development, and the privatization of military firms, among her research interests.  Dr. Castater received a Fulbright Scholarship in Vienna, Austria to complete her Ph.D. and speaks five languages.  She has worked in Germany and Russia as a private business consultant.

When we explored what GMSHRM could do to help our members become stronger HR professionals we decided to ask Barry University to develop and present three workshops on Accounting or Finance topics.  The courses were designed for a class audience of HR professionals. 

Each workshop is 2 hours long and is offered on separate dates, and different locations, before the networking portion of our GMSHRM dinner meetings.  The following is the workshop schedule:
