Our GMSHRM President, Cindy Lau-Evans is proud to announce that GMSHRM is now a Community Communicator of the US Dept of Agriculture's Nutrition Network.  As a Community Communicator, GMSHRM will join the Network of Partner Organizations, receive Nutrition information, as well as occasional informational materials, that we can share with our members through our e-blasts and postings at our website.

Partnering with USDA is an opportunity for different communities and organizations to magnify messages and reach audiences to promote the 2010 Dietary Guidelines, ChooseMyPlate.gov and incorporate Federal nutrition content.  The 2010 Dietary Guidelines and My Plate has been released at a time when the majority of American adults and one in three American children is overweight or obese.
