Breakout Session 5
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Is There a Doctor in the House? Onsite Clinic as a Catalyst for Prevention
Susan Gonzalez, MA, SPHR
Susan Diaz, DO

Description of Session
This session will explore how Boston Scientific used their onsite clinic as a catalyst to manage workers compensation injuries and to provide worksite health care and access to primary medical care for their employees. We will evaluate the process to determine that an onsite clinic is necessary, who they determined their ROI and what they learned along the way. One of the interesting insight learned by Boston Scientific is the ability to use the onsite clinic as a resource to manage ADA accommodations, non-work related restrictions, immediate and urgent medical issues and to decrease the overall cost of their health insurance program. Boston Scientific will share anecdotal stories about how lives were saved, crisis averted and how the clinic has changed the culture in their organization.

Learning Objectives
Attendees will learn:
