Meet Kevin Enterlein, Aetna President, Central & South Florida

GMSHRM welcomes Kevin Enterlein, Aetna President, Central & South Florida as one of the panelists of the February Monthly meeting

Kevin Enterlein serves as Aetna’s President, Central & South Florida with profit & loss responsibility for all medical, group insurance, government & labor, Medicare and specialty products.  In this capacity, Kevin also has responsibility for state legislative & regulatory relations and community affairs.  

Prior to assuming his current position, Kevin was Aetna’s Southeast U.S. Network Vice President responsible for Health Care Delivery cost containment, network development & expansion, and worked in partnership with Aetna’s sales segments to drive key external relationships.  

Previously, Kevin held various senior management roles within and outside of Aetna as follows: 1999 – 2001 - Aetna South Florida General Manager with profit & loss accountability for 325,000 covered commercial and Medicare health plan members. 2001 – 2003 - Aetna Regional Vice President Network, accountable for medical cost management and geographical county expansion targets for Georgia and Florida.  2003 – 2008 - Chief Operating Officer WellCare Health Plans with profit & loss accountability for Tampa and South Florida Health plans, exceeding $1.1 Billion in annual revenue for Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP health plan members.  

Kevin attended Pace University and has a degree in Marketing. Kevin is a board member with the Florida Association of Health plans and is a Youth Mentor for underprivileged students at New Hope Charities in Pahokee Florida.  Kevin lives in Wellington, Florida with his wife Andrea, 19-year-old son Kevin and 17-year-old daughter Melissa.
