How do I look? Speaking of workforce readiness, GMSHRM is expanding its support for Haitians and other refugees in transition through a collaborative program with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). On September 15th, ten graduates of the IRC Refugee workforce readiness program will attend a very special makeover session. These individuals will receive hair, make-up and dress for success makeovers in preparation for their re-entering the workforce.
Of course, we are counting on you to make these individuals shine while cleaning up your closet. We are accepting donations of business attires – suits, shoes, shirts, pants, blouses for men and women. Please contact Paula Franco, Workforce Development Director for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The aim of this event is to create a space where Human Resource professionals can assist political refugees, asylees and victims of human trafficking struggling to find work, support their families, and build new lives. During the event, clothing donations will be collected by GMSHRM representatives on behalf of all of their members. Representatives will also be present at the event to mentor clients on how to succeed in their job search.
