Kevin A. Henry, Chief Human Resources Officer, Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, will be keynote speaker at the June GMSHRM Meeting.
Kevin A. Henry, Chief Human Resources Officer joined Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated February 2001. Prior to joining Coke Consolidated, Kevin held human resources positions with a variety of Fortune 100 companies including Amoco Oil Company, The Pepsi-Cola Company, Clorox and Office Depot Inc.Most recently Kevin served as Senior Vice President Human Resources for NCI Resource Management (former subsidiary of financial services conglomerate First Data Corporation) based in Atlanta, Georgia.
While employed with NCI/First Data, Kevin was instrumental in helping to architect a divestiture strategy that resulted in the “spin off” and corresponding privatization of NCI. In his role as Chief Human Resources Officer with Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated Kevin is responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources functions. This includes compensation design and administration, labor and employee relations, talent acquisition and deployment, organizational development, cultural stewardship and workforce diversity. Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Kevin earned his BS from Cornell University’s School Of Industrial and Labor Relations where he majored in Industrial and Labor Relations. Kevin and his wife Tina have two sons, Tyler and Taylor and reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Kevin is a member of the Cornell University Alumni Association, Past Executive Advisor of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources – Charlotte Chapter and serves on the Board(s) of Charlotte Latin Day School, Queens University McColl School of Business and PRIDE Magazine. Kevin is also the immediate past Chairman of the Charlotte Chamber’s Black Professional Network and past Chairman of the Board of the Urban League of Central Carolinas. Kevin and his family attend Central Church of God. Kevin has been recognized multiple times for his forward-thinking approach to business and human resources management by a number of organizations.
He is frequently sought out as a subject matter expert on a wide range of human resources related topics. In 2004, Kevin was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the “top 40 under 40” leaders in Charlotte. Kevin was also recognized by Pride Magazine as a 2004 Martin Luther King Jr. “Man on the Move” honoree. His team at Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated was a 2003 nominee for an HR Excellence Service Award as recognized by HR Executive Magazine. Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated was recognized by Beverage Industry Magazine as the 2003 Distributor of the Year and was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of America’s Most Admired Companies in 2004. Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated was recognized by Beverage World Magazine as the 2005 Distributor of the Year. Kevin was recently profiled in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Black Charlotte.
