SHRM highlights GMSHRM's 2008 Diversity Program

GMSHRM 2008 Diversity Program, Abilities Event: The Business Argument for Focusing on Abilities…Not Disabilities, was featured in SHRM’s Enterprising Leadership book.

GMSHRM 2008 Diversity Program, Abilities Event:  The Business Argument for Focusing on Abilities…Not Disabilities, was featured in SHRM’s Enterprising Leadership book.  It is truly impressive to reflect on all of the great work being accomplished by SHRM state councils and chapters, and GMSHRM feels honored to be listed among these outstanding chapters.

SHRM release the hard copy of this book at the SHRM February Leadership Conference.  The searchable PDF version is now available online in the Volunteer Leaders’ Resource Center at www.shrm.org/vlrc.  Feel free to review our work as published in the book online.

As 2007-2008 Chair Janet Parker noted in her Foreword to the book, “This isn’t the end of such initiatives – it is only the beginning.  State Councils, chapters, and their membership will continue to lead the way in developing innovative, long-range strategies to meet the needs of their members and communities.  The impact of each will be felt for years to come.”

Thanks again to our members for their active support and congratulations to the 2008 GMSHRM Diversity Committee for a phenomenal program.
