We want to hear from you!

Did you attend the Febuary 17th GMSHRM meeting? Inquiring minds want to know. Whether you attended the event or not, your feedback will help us continue improving our programs and activities.

On February 17th, GMSHRM hosted an interactive panel presentation followed by three concurrent workshops. The new meeting format provided participants with a chance to ask local experts for career and professional development advice, and share best practices with others in the audience.

Magali Jarrin
, Director of Human Resources at McQuay International shared her strategy for success during career transition. She stressed the importance of maintaining contact with your network - both online and offline.  Richard Clarke, Public Information Officer at South Florida Workforce (SFW), expanded on the recent funding opportunities to assist employers with a transitioning workforce. Laura Marks, Noven Pharmaceutical, and Gary Punzi, Challenger, Gray & Christmas, shared both their personal perspectives on professional development and gave suggestions on how to remain engaged, positive and proactive during periods of change.  The candid conversations ignited during the panel discussion, continued at the concurrent workshops.  Many thanks to Maria Drew, Right Management, Russell Correa, Counseling Consultants and Helena Pivarnik, SFW, our workshops' presenters. Needless to say, there was a phenomenal reception after the event where participants networked, enjoyed delicious food and continued the learning experience.
