Critical People Challenges in Harsh Business Environments: How HR Can Step Up

GMSHRM's February Program will present a variety of topics, training workshops and phenomenal opportunities to network. Russell Correa, Regional Director of CCA is one of the presenters not to be missed.

As companies go through staff reductions, mergers, decreased revenues and other types of organizational change, HR professionals are thrust into the unenviable position of having to make greater impact within their companies with decreased resources at their disposal.
However, the current environment also represents an opportunity for HR professionals to be viewed as true business partners within their organizations, leading their teams through these challenging times; all while balancing their personal well-being. During this workshop, Russell Correa, Ed,M, Regional Director of Corporate Counseling Associates (CCA) will focus on developing strategies “to stay on top of your game”. Covered topics will be:

  • Capitalizing on our mutual experience, a current assessment of HR concerns, goals and objectives in 2009 given the business climate
  • Brief review of best practices on change management, employee engagement and work/life balance based on CCA experience with organizations such as UBS, The National Basketball Association, BlackRock and Giorgio Armani
  • How to leverage available internal and external resources (such as vendors and trade industry groups)
  • Application of these ideas back to your specific work roles and responsibilities

Corporate Counseling Associates manages critical people issues that place organizations at risk. In business for 25 years with over 200 top-tier accounts, CCA brings a full-time staff of industrial and organizational psychologists, clinical psychologists/social workers and counseling professionals to solve high stake, human capital-based business problems.
