The SHRM Learning System is designed to provide an overview of key areas in HR management. The SHRM Learning System Course provides a solid foundation for managing the HR challenges you face in today's demanding work environment. It supplies a current reference of HR practices, broadens the perspective of functional specialists, and strengthens individual competencies and productivity. In addition to being an excellent professional development opportunity, the Learning System is a powerful tool to assist you in preparing for the PHR and SPHR certification exams. The SHRM Learning System Program provides evening and Saturday classes at one of Barry University's locations in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

In cooperation with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Barry University is also offering an introductory HR course, The Essentials of Human Resource Management. It is a true introduction to human resource management. The primary focus of this program is to provide participants with a broad overview of the human resource function. It consists of six modules and is offered over 15 contact hours. The course includes readings, lectures, class discussions, and application activities.
